Langston Hughes T-Shirt
Langston Hughes T-Shirt
$22.00
Langston Hughes (1901-1967) wrote “Let America Be America Again” in the depths of the Great Depression. The poem is a call for America to end centuries of hypocrisy, exploitation and betrayal and finally live up to its founding legend of liberty and equality for all. It is graphic in its portrayal of America’s failings, but throughout, the verses glow with hope and a determination to build the America we’ve always dreamed of. Half the profits from the sale of this shirt will be donated to the Democratic Socialists of America or Standing Together.
